Jeremy came to the UK in 2005 to find work to support her two daughters in the Philippines, where she struggled to provide for them. When she came to Doctors of the World’s clinic in Bethnal Green in 2013, Jeremy was six months pregnant but had not had an antenatal check-up or scan.  She had tried to register at GP surgeries but had been wrongly turned away because of her immigration status.  After coming to the Doctors of the World UK Bethnal Green clinic, she was able to access antenatal care and legal advice to obtain leave to remain.
