Prints for Refugees

Amazing art donated by photographers to help the refugee crisis. All proceeds go to Doctors of the World UK so that they can continue to provide vital medical aid to vulnerable and desperate refugees

Kate Peters

Kate Peters (b.1980) is a photographer based in London, England. Inspired by a rebellious photography teacher Kate began making photographs at secondary school and has never stopped, just got a little bit better at it, she hopes. Her work has been exhibited internationally including a solo show at the HPGRP gallery in New York in 2011. In 2012 the Guardian Weekend Magazine commissioned Kate to photograph 32 Olympic hopefuls including Sir Chris Hoy, Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah Her portrait of Julian Assange, the founder of Wikilieaks was featured on the cover of TIME magazine. 

A selection of Kate’s portraits now forms part of the permanent collection at the National Portrait gallery, London. In 2013 she received the Vic Odden award from the Royal Photographic Society and the Freshfields Prize at the Renaissance Awards. When not on assignment she can be found hanging around the darkroom at Labyrinth Photographic, walking her dog or riding her bike to the pub.
